About BodyBase
What is BodyBase?
BodyBase is a boutique fitness concept combining Reformer Pilates, strength training, cardio, and mindful movement. Our workouts are built around our own custom-designed BaseLine reformer, created to deliver a unique full-body training experience.
With high-energy classes, expert trainers, and a supportive community, BodyBase makes movement fun, effective, and easy to fit into your everyday life.
What makes BodyBase different from traditional Reformer Pilates?
BodyBase combines the control and precision of Reformer Pilates with strength, cardio, and functional training.
Our workouts are designed around the BaseLine reformer, with unique class formats that focus on building strength, improving control, and creating a balanced full-body workout.
Can everyone join BodyBase classes?
Yes! BodyBase classes are designed for all levels. Whether you’re completely new to fitness or already experienced, our trainers provide guidance, modifications, and support to help you get the most out of every workout.
I haven’t worked out in a while. Can I still join?
Absolutely! BodyBase is made for every stage of your fitness journey.
Our trainers will guide you through the exercises and help you find the right level for your body. If you’re returning after a break, have injuries, or need extra support, simply let your trainer know before class.
General Information
What is the minimum age to join classes?
We welcome everyone from the age of 16 to join our classes.
Ages 14–15 are welcome when accompanied by someone aged 18 or older. We love encouraging movement from a young age while making sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.
Which language are the classes taught in?
Most BodyBase classes are taught in English, making it easy for our international community to join.
Some trainers also teach in Dutch! Our trainers always take the language preferences of participants into account and make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported during class.

Reformer Gym (Black Label)
A strength-focused Reformer workout combining controlled movements and resistance
training to build power, stability, and full-body strength.
Reformer Flow (White Label)
A Pilates-inspired Reformer class focused on fluid movement, flexibility, control, and the connection between body and mind.
Boxing
A high-energy workout combining boxing techniques, cardio, and strength exercises to improve fitness and coordination.
HIIT
High-intensity intervals designed to challenge your endurance, strength, and fitness in an efficient workout.
Strength & Conditioning
A functional workout focused on building strength, improving fitness, and enhancing overall performance.
HYROX
A challenging combination of running and functional fitness exercises inspired by the HYROX competition format. Don’t forget your running shoes!
Sculpt
A low-impact, high-repetition workout focused on toning, strengthening, and improving body control.
Barre
A ballet-inspired workout combining strength, balance, flexibility, and small controlled movements.
Yoga
A mindful practice combining movement, breathing, flexibility, and relaxation.
Mat Pilates
A Pilates-based workout focused on core strength, stability, posture, and controlled movement.
What can I expect from my first class?
Your first BodyBase class is all about getting comfortable, moving your body, and enjoying the experience.
Our trainers will guide you through the workout, explain the setup, and provide modifications whenever needed.
Just show up, bring your energy, and we’ll take care of the rest 😉
What music is played during classes?
Every trainer brings their own music style and energy to class, creating a unique atmosphere and experience every time you step into the studio.
What should I bring?
To make the most out of your workout, we recommend bringing:
- Water bottle
- Grip socks (required for Reformer classes)
- Sports shoes (required for HIIT, Strength & Conditioning, and HYROX, running shoes are recommended for HYROX)
- Towel (for your workout or if you would like to shower afterwards)
- Hair tie (if needed)
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable workout clothes that allow you to move freely and feel confident during your workout.
Grip socks are required for all Reformer classes. Forgot yours? No worries, you can purchase BodyBase grip socks in the studio.
When should I arrive before class?
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your class starts.
This gives us time to welcome you, help you get set up, and guide you through the BaseLine setup if needed.
To keep the experience smooth and focused for everyone, the doors close once the class begins.
What facilities are available in the studios?
All BodyBase studios offer facilities to make your visit as comfortable as possible:
- Lockers for your belongings
- Showers
- Toilets
- Toiletries available before or after your workout
Everything you need to feel ready before and refreshed after your class.
Can I use my phone or take photos during class?
We love seeing your BodyBase moments shared online; don’t forget to tag us!
To keep classes focused and distraction-free, we kindly ask you to keep your phone away during the workout.
Want to capture a short clip? No problem! Please check with your trainer first and make sure you only film yourself, while respecting the privacy and experience of other members and trainers.

How do I book a class?
Booking your BodyBase class is easy! You can reserve your spot through:

- BodyBase app
- Urban Sports Club
- ClassPass
Choose your preferred option, book your class, and we’ll see you in the studio!
Can I work out in all BodyBase studios?
Your membership or package gives you access to the studios within the city where you purchased your membership or package.
Each city has its own studios and class schedules, so make sure to select the right location when booking your classes.
What studios does BodyBase have?
We currently operate studios in:
- Rotterdam City
- Rotterdam Hillegersberg
- Amsterdam De Pijp
- Amsterdam Zuid
- Haarlem
- Dubai
Each studio offers a different combination of classes depending on the equipment and layout.
Memberships, Packages & Credits
At BodyBase, we offer different options to fit your lifestyle, whether you want unlimited workouts, flexible training, or a set number of classes.
Memberships VIP Membership
- Unlimited workouts at BodyBase studios in your chosen city
- Freeze your membership once per year (up to 1 month)
- Bring 2 friends to workout with you every month
- After 12 months, the membership renews at the current price and can be cancelled monthly (4 weeks notice)
Flex Membership
- Unlimited workouts at BodyBase studios in your chosen city
- Bring 2 friends to workout with you every month
- Cancel anytime with 4 weeks notice
Core Membership
- 9 workouts per month at BodyBase studios in your chosen city
- Freeze your membership once per year (up to 1 month)
- After 12 months, the membership renews at the current price and can be cancelled monthly (4 weeks notice)
Recovery Memberships (Hilegersberg & Haarlem) VIP Recovery Add-On (VIP Members Only)
- Unlimited access to the Recovery Area
- Includes Infrared Sauna, Red-Light Therapy Capsule, and Massage Chairs

How do credits work?
Credits give you access to BodyBase classes. Each credit can be used to book one class. When booking a class, your available credit will automatically be used to reserve your spot.
How long are credits valid?
Credits and packages have a limited validity period. Make sure to use your credits before they expire, as expired credits can no longer be used.
You can view your available credits and expiration dates in your BodyBase app.
How does the waitlist work?
If a class is fully booked, you can join the waitlist and still have a chance to secure a spot.
When a spot becomes available, you’ll receive an email notification with a link to confirm your booking.
Make sure to check your email regularly so you don’t miss the opportunity!
Can I reschedule my class?
Currently, there is no option to directly reschedule a class.
If you can no longer make it, you can cancel your booking free of charge up to 8 hours before the start of class and book another class that works better for you.
Cancellations within 8 hours of the class start time are considered late cancellations and may result in a €5 fee.
What is the cancellation policy?
You can cancel your class free of charge up to 8 hours before the start time.
Cancellations within 8 hours of the class start time and no-shows may result in a €5 fee. This policy helps us keep spots available for everyone who wants to join a class.
What is the No-Show & Late Cancellation Fee?
To give everyone a fair chance to join classes, we kindly ask you to cancel at least 8 hours before the start time if you can no longer attend.
- A €5 no-show fee applies when you miss a class without cancelling in time
- A €5 late cancellation fee applies when cancelling within 8 hours before class
- Package holders: the class credit will be deducted
- Membership holders: the €5 fee will be charged
We’d much rather see you in class, but this policy helps us keep spots available for the entire BaseFam.
What happens if I’m late?
For your safety and to maintain a focused class environment, we do not allow late entry.
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early. Once class starts, the doors lock and missed classes count as a no-show or late cancellation.
What happens if BodyBase cancels a class?
Sometimes, a trainer may unexpectedly be unavailable and we are unable to find a suitable replacement.
In these cases, we may need to cancel a class. If BodyBase cancels a class, your credit will always be refunded and you can use it to book another class at a time that works for you.
Can I pause my membership?
VIP, Core, Lite, and Off-Peak memberships can be paused once per membership period for up to 1 month.
To request a pause, please email your studio at least 5 days before your preferred pause start date with:
- Pause start date
- Pause end date
- Reason for pausing
Your billing cycle will be postponed based on the length of your pause. Flex memberships cannot be paused.
How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel your membership, send a cancellation request by email to:

Please include:
- Full name
- Location
- Reason for cancelling
We require a 4-week notice period before your cancellation takes effect. Early cancellation may be possible with:
- Medical proof
- Confirmation of relocation
Can I share my membership?
Memberships are personal and cannot be shared. Each member needs their own account and booking.
Can I bring a guest?
VIP and FLEX members can bring up to two guests per month free of charge. Each guest needs to be registered individually and have their own booking.
If a guest cancels late or does not show up, fees may apply to the member’s account.
Health & Safety
Can I join classes during pregnancy or after giving birth?
Your safety always comes first!
Please consult your physician before joining BodyBase classes during pregnancy or after giving birth.
Be sure to inform your trainer before class about your pregnancy, recent birth, or any physical limitations so they can provide appropriate guidance and modifications.
What if I have an injury or medical condition?
Please let your trainer know before class if you have any injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations.
This allows our trainers to provide suitable modifications and help you work out safely.
Studio Experience
What happens during a Reformer class?
BaseLine setup
If it's your first time, your trainer will explain how the BaseLine works and help you adjust the
machine correctly before class begins.
Equipment guidance
Throughout class, your trainer will demonstrate each exercise and guide you on how to safely use the equipment.
Studio expectations
Please arrive 5–10 minutes before class, follow your trainer's instructions, and help us create a positive and focused environment for everyone.
What are the studio rules?
To create the best experience for everyone, we kindly ask you to:
- Wear grip socks during all Reformer classes.
- Respect other members and trainers.
- Follow your trainer's instructions throughout class.
- Wipe down your equipment after class.
- Remove all personal belongings before leaving the studio.
What are White Label and Black Label studios?
White Label
Our White Label studios focus on mindful movement, mobility, flexibility, and control through
classes like Reformer Flow and Yoga.
Black Label
Our Black Label studios offer dynamic, high-energy workouts focused on strength, cardio, and conditioning.

What is the AceLine?
The AceLine is our compact home reformer, designed to bring the BodyBase workout experience into your own home while maintaining the same movement quality.
Can I try the AceLine before purchasing?
Yes! You can book a personal demonstration at our BodyBase Experience Centre in Rotterdam.

Membership & Account
How do I manage my membership?
You can manage your membership directly in the BodyBase app, including:
- Personal details
- Payment information
- Membership
- Upcoming bookings
- Notifications
How does billing work during a membership pause?
Your billing isn't skipped, it simply moves forward by the length of your pause. This means your renewal date will be extended accordingly.
How do I update my payment details?
You can update your payment method anytime in the Billing section of the BodyBase app.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major debit and credit cards, as well as recurring SEPA payments (depending on your location).
Do you offer student discount?
Yes! Students receive 15% off memberships (excluding trial offers and class packages). Simply email:

Please note that student discount cannot be combined with other promotions.
Friends & Referrals
Can I refer a friend?
Absolutely! You can refer friends to any BodyBase studio.
As long as they sign up using your referral link and purchase a VIP membership, you'll receive your referral reward, even if they join a different city.
How does my guest cancel a class?
Your guest can easily cancel their own booking by:
- Downloading the BodyBase app.
- Selecting Forgot password using the email address they registered with.
- Logging in and cancelling the booking.
